Not so long ago middle-aged people would be quite happy to hitch their local golf club, perhaps sign on for an aerobics or pilates category and, when older, perhaps strive a little bowling. But for several years that was regarding the total total of sports that inspired the participation of the older members of our society.

But that appears to be changing as people recognise the advantages of regular exercise and realise how a lot of enjoyment will be gained from trying out some completely different leisure pastimes. Witness the recent surge of interest in Nordic walking, with lots of clubs and organised walks now available all over the country. It claims to be the fastest growing fitness activity in the globe and owes its history to cross-country skiers in Finland, who resorted to summer coaching walks using the ski poles that they used to propel themselves across the snow throughout the winter months. The expansion of the activity will be place right down to its popularity amongst the older ages groups. It’s low-cost, non-competitive and caters for all ability levels.

Sports Radar

Sports Radar

Radar is used to measure the location and or speed of an object.  Radar is basic, it sends out a signal, the signal bounces off an object and a receiver picks up the signal and displays the speed or location of that object. This technology has been used for may different applications and of course it is available for sports.
